Healthy Mendocino Website Updates Fall 2020

Healthy People 2030 Targets and Progress Tracker

In response to the release of Healthy People 2030 objectives, Conduent Healthy Communities Institute has added Healthy People 2030 targets and a new 2030 Progress Tracker to the Healthy Mendocino website. Since 1980, Healthy People has set measurable goals to improve the health and well-being of people nationwide. The initiative’s fifth iteration — Healthy People 2030 — builds on knowledge gained over the past 4 decades and addresses the latest public health priorities and challenges.

The HP2030 Progress Tracker includes indicators with only 2030 targets as well as indicators with 2030 and 2020 targets. Indicators with only 2020 targets are not included on the HP2030 Progress Tracker. See HP2030’s How has Healthy People changed? to learn more about how these objectives have been modified, removed, or retained. You can find the new HP2030 Progress Tracker on the Community Health Dashboards landing page.

New additions to the website!

Under Priorities you will find a Community Engagement section which contains reports from our community engagement work, including past listening tours and webinars. We have added a new page to this section called The Healthy Mendocino Roundtable. The Roundtable is a quarterly meeting and networking opportunity for a broad range of community leaders and community members at large. This gathering provides an opportunity for leaders from divergent sectors in Mendocino County to share what their agencies and groups are accomplishing and where they may need support, and to discuss a variety of social determinants of health topics. Interested in joining the Healthy Mendocino Roundtable? Email pmascolo@ncoinc.org

Visit the Community Data menu item to view health data indicators and dashboards for Mendocino County and the new Healthy People 2030 Progress Tracker.

Organizations and groups can now submit events, a series of events and trainings to our updated and active Local Health Events Calendar. This calendar provides information about health and wellness-related events including: workshops, support groups, benefits, important deadlines, community gatherings, trainings, and related activities in Mendocino County. To submit click "Submit Event" at the top, right-hand portion of the calendar, quickly set up an account with Time.ly, and upload info and photos! The events must be free or be provided by a non-profit organization, public agency, or community-based organization. You can also submit an event by emailing mrosenthal@ncoinc.org, but we recommend going throughTime.ly if you are submitting more than one event or plan to regularly make entries in the calendar.

Additionally, we have refreshed the pages for CalFresh and Covered Mendocino . All these updated features can be found under Resources and Tools

Local Projects now contains the Mask Awareness Project, and new pages for Collaboratives with local agencies.

Under About Us, you will find The Healthy Mendocino Governance section with agendas and minutes from the monthly Leadership Team meetings.
