Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories, Future Projections, and Reduction Target

The Ukiah greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories serve multiple purposes. They quantify the GHG emissions resulting from activities taking place throughout the City of Ukiah and caused by the City's residents, businesses, and local government (i.e., community-wide emissions), as well as emissions attributed to operation of the lcoal government (i.e. municipal emissions). The inventories provide an understanding of where GHG emissions are originiating and create an emissions baseline against which the City can set emissions reduction targets and measure future progress. The inventories further allow the City to develop effective policies, strategies, and programs to reduce emssions.
