Mendocino "Signs of Safety" (SOS) Community Implementation Team

Vision: Unifying community services through Signs of Safety for the wellbeing of children, youth and families

Mission: To work together to find practical ways the Signs of Safety approach can unify our services so children, youth and families experience a connected, honoring and supportive engagement for the wellbeing of our community.

The Mendocino Signs of Safety™ Implementation Team, held a work session on May 17th and 18th. Recently, four different community based organizations and FCS, met together to begin creating an adaptive collective vision utilizing the Signs of Safety (SofS) framework within and between organizations as a shared method for strengthening strategies around serving families. The work session topics included:

  • Develop common language
  • Map the children, youth and family experience
  • Map and scale sustainability
  • Identify key interagency collaboration opportunities
  • Discuss strategies to strengthen our collective impact on child and family maltreatment
  • Develop concrete action goals and plans moving forward
