The Coping Skills Toolkit for Teachers and Families

View / Download

What exactly is a Coping Skills Toolbox?

Get creative. Be it a decorated box; a large manila envelope; or a corner in your desk, collect coping skills and items that can calm you. Skills can be made into visuals by copying on flash cards and putting into your toolkit. What follows are many skills and activities to copy and share with your students. Have Fun...RELAX

Private and public partners working with youth in Mendocino County want to share some coping skill exercises with you to help in your
classroom. These are but a few examples of tools used in group and or individual sessions that you can share with your classes. Have fun
and create your own too.

This project made possible by funding from the Governor's Office of Emergency Services in coordination with Mendocino County partner agencies supporting youth and families.

Should you have any questions about any of these coping skills or need a resource to support either your class or an individual child,
