Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center Mask Awareness Project

Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center, Ukiah
The ARRC is a multi-purpose community center used by nonprofits and other groups to offer programs for Ukiah's youth. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun place for children and adults to learn, play, and recreate. We offer free or low-cost inclusive programs that promote health and wellness and social connectivity.

The Project
ARRC is working with youth (including bilingual youth) to create a montage
of videos with the goal to get kids talking to other kids about why mask wearing and protecting their community is important and that if we all wear a mask, we can get back to things we love. This project will culminate in a socially distant mask distributing event where videos will be screened outdoors. ARRC will incorporate Emergency Preparedness In Communities (EPIC) materials at this event.
